Talka (The Hostage) marks the second collaboration between director Matjaž Berger and Silence. The play is based on L'otage (1911), a three-act drama by Paul Claudel, and selected writings by Jacques Lacan.

The staging, set in the time when the French Revolution is hunting the Ancien Regime’s aristocracy, depicts Sygne de Coûfontaine's attempt to rescue the Pope from the revolutionaries and restore her noble House—an attempt that leaves her faced with an unimaginable choice.

The play features an original score by Silence.
