The short film Vladimir Makuc: Mož, ki je ljubil ptice (Vladimir Makuc: The Man Who Loved Birds) was made for the retrospective exhibition of iconic painter and printmaker Vladimir Makuc (1925-2016), one of the most acclaimed modern artists from Slovenia.

The film, which features music by Silence, received the main award at the 9th edition of the Museums in Short contest. The jury recognised ‘a successful interplay of art and world, echoed by a delicate interweaving of visual and sound (...) Verbal comment would be redundant in a speaking fully encapsulated in footage and music.’
