Out Now: The Sound of Music

In these daunting times, fraught with flourishing authoritarians and premature Christmasing, we offer a helpful, hopefully yodelling-inducing piece of information: The Sound of Music, Laibach's new album, is out today!

The album—the result of Laibach's infamous 2015 trip to North Korea—is the latest collaboration between the band and Silence, who previously co-created Laibach’s 2006 Volk album. The duet arranged and co-produced Arirang, a traditional Korean song, and nine show tunes from Rodgers and Hammerstein's popular musical. Benko appears as guest vocalist on all songs.

The album, released by Mute Records, is available on cd, vinyl, and digitally.
