New Score: One Night in Zagorje

The duo has scored Neda Bric's play Noč v Zagorju (One Night in Zagorje).

The night in question led to the death of Srečko Kosovel, one of Europe's finest modernist poets. After holding a recital in Zagorje, Kosovel missed his train back to Ljubljana. Forced to spend the night in a frosty train station, he caught a cold, which eventually developed into meningitis. Kosovel's future was among the passengers on the missed train: he died the same year, barely 22 years old. Despite his untimely death, he left behind a remarkable, highly influential body of work.

The play, written by Aleš Berger, marks the centenary of Kosovel's death. Noč v Zagorju opens on September 24th at SNT Nova Gorica.
